REVITALIZE LIFESTYLE is excited to have the return of Kundalini Yoga to Torquay for the next instalment.

The longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century falls on Saturday, 28 July 2018.

The time couldn’t be more opportune to raise our vibration with some high-frequency, high-octane Kundalini Yoga, mantra, meditation – and relaxation to the healing vibration of the gong.

In this workshop immersion we will focus on rejuvenation and regeneration. The theme follows the activity of the moon at this time – and its effect on us – as we work to ‘black out’ the past, and remove negative thought patterns and toxins from the mind and body.

We may at times underestimate the effect our energy has on the people around us. When we hurt someone’s feelings through one unconscious act, we upset ourselves. The guilt that festers toxifies us. It can literally eat us alive. When another person becomes upset as a result of an unconscious act, we change the beautiful energies of that being to another structure, as we are actually releasing poisons from ourselves. Consequently, we pollute the space around us with our inner energy, increasing the toxicity level of our bodies.

We will work on the thyroid, throat centre, head and face to achieve a youthful look, purity of beauty and body to project our radiance onto the world. The more we work on this level of consciousness – as with the moon – the more radiant we become.

This immersion also works on the mind, and asks you to question – What am I made of? What’s living inside of me? What stops me from being fulfilled and content? How smart am I at transmuting myself? How can I restructure? How can I change?

What to bring: Yoga mat, Water bottle, comfortable clothes, firm cushion to sit on and for spinal support during closing meditation and blanket or shawl for shavasana

Susie Seale

Susie’s interest in and love of yoga began early when she discovered Hatha Yoga. She went on to explore Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin, and undertook three years Iyengar Teacher Training with Marina Jung – Clifton Hill Yoga, Melbourne.

Susie discovered Kundalini Yoga in 2012; and soon after, travelled to the US to train at the Kundalini Research Institute. Susie completed her Teacher Training in Melbourne, after further study in Espanola, New Mexico & France.

Why is Kundalini Yoga so powerful and what to expect?

Kundalini Yoga is the supreme technology to awaken your awareness and take you into your original Self. It is a natural unfolding of your own nature, and a powerful catalyst for change and personal transformation.  It is a technology for the inner energy needed to survive and excel under the pressure of the times.

 Kundalini Yoga teaches you how to gain a strong immune system, vital glands, a stable nervous system, good circulation, and an awareness of your habits. This foundation gives you energy, and also teaches you how to deal with the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of life. The class will be taught in their purest form, with no deviation from the traditional yogic science of Raj Yoga.

 A Kundalini Yoga class is taught as a kriya – or completed action designed to elicit a desired effect. Rarely are two classes the same, as there are hundreds of kriyas, and the aim is to teach a different kriya each class.  Mantra, mudra, asana, bandha and pranayam play an integral role throughout each class.

 Strong emphasis is given to:

  • Yogic anatomy: the Ten Bodies
  • The eight major chakras in Kundalini Yoga
  • Developing the discipline of a 40-day sadhana
  • Basic concepts in the philosophy of yoga

Relaxation – shavasana – is experienced to a live gong shower as sound therapy.

 A Kundalini Yoga class concludes with an active meditation.
